As a future leader, one has to learn how to
collaborate both in decision making and hands on work. Technology also helps in
collaboration because in a way it keeps everyone actively involved.
“Learning
is both an active and reflective process.” (Southwest Educational
Development Laboratory, 1999).
The
above quote was well said because learning can get quite boring the person just
has to sit and listen to someone talk. Technology helps in making learning an
active process which makes it a constructive learning. It is also good to
reflect on your learning because information seems to be retained more through
reflection.
An
active learning could be students conducting a research on a particular topic
and presenting what they gathered from the research to the class; that can be
done with the help of technology, even though students can present their topics
on a poster without having to do PowerPoint presentation or use an overhead.
Even when students present their projects on posters, most times the do their
researches with the help of information gathered from the internet, which is
also the help of technology. Students grasp more from what they are being
though when they are actively involved.
